The Cottage Guide does not handle bookings and therefore takes no booking commission. You deal direct with the property owner by contacting them. The page showing an owner's property details will also show how to contact them - whether by email, or by telephone. You will first of all need to confirm with the owner that their property is still available for the dates you require. It's a good idea to make enquiries with several different owners - in case your first choices are already taken. If the property is available for you the owner will usually hold it for a few days until they receive written confirmation/deposit etc from you. Please bear in mind that holiday cottages are being booked up all the time and that the element of choice can become limited the longer you leave it.

Please feel free to ask the property owner some questions! A property owner will know all the intricate details of what they are offering - and will tell you far more than an agency would be able to tell you.
