This pleasant, spacious bungalow is on the eastern outskirts of Great Barton village. It is 4 miles east of historic Bury St Edmunds; famous for its twice weekly street market and The Cathedral's new tower. Wylene is situated about 300 yards off the A143 and 3 miles from the A14 so you will find it an excellent base for exploring East Anglia (UK's driest area). Ideal for country lovers, walking and cycling; it takes about one hour to drive to the coast.

Re Covid 19 virus
We are now taking even more care than usual with our cleaning regime, and sanitising between lets.
We are 'Good to go' and 'Safe, clean and Legal'.
We expect our guests to be equally careful at this time and please let us know if anyone in the party, or their household becomes ill or needs to isolate 14 days before and after visiting Wylene.

Accommodation
is all on ground floor with a ramp at front door (grab rail provided).  
  • Central heating by gas, fitted carpets in bedrooms and snug.
  • Linen, towels and power included in price with wireless internet access at no extra charge.
  • The lounge is large and spacious, all seats are 530mm high, + 1 footstool (same height). The 'Smart' TV is widescreen and can show subtitles. There are board games and jig saw puzzles for your amusement.
  • The Snug provides a quiet place to sit, or read to children. You can watch DVD's or listen to CD's via the TV there.
  • Kitchen is spacious and has a tiled floor:
    Electric oven is integrated below worktop with gas hob over. Lever taps on sink. Under counter fridge and freezer. Microwave oven and a small dishwasher. Also coffee maker, cafetiere and sandwich toaster, as well as the usual kettle, toaster and radio. Grip gadget for opening lids provided. Small table and chairs. There is also a small TV with DVD player.
  • Step down into large conservatory set as dining area (ramp provided). Two dining chairs have arms.
  • Bedroom 1 - double with fitted wardrobe.
  • Bedroom 2 - twin divan beds (mattress height 690 mm) - can be made up as superking bed, and ensuite shower room. Fitted wardrobe has adjustable height clothes rail. One bed can be removed, on request, to give extra space - eg. for wheelchair.
  • Bedroom 3 - full size (3 feet wide) bunk beds and freestanding wardrobe.
  • Bedroom 4 - king size bed (mattress height 660 mm) and ensuite shower room. Freestanding wardrobe has adjustable height clothes rail.
  • All beds with waterproof quilted mattress protectors. There are no feather pillows. All beds have bedside or overbed lights.
  • Family bathroom: Basin and whirlpool bath with lever taps. W.C.
    Shower cubicle is 900mm, tray is only 70mm from floor. There is a stool suitable for use in the shower.
  • Hair dryer is provided.
  • Utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Also airer and rotary clothes line.
  • Path around to enclosed rear garden and patio with sunny and shaded areas to relax or play.
  • A hot tub can be hired at extra cost - please ask.
  • Barbecue, garden furniture and some games provided.
  • We request no smoking inside the dwelling. On the rear patio there is a cigarette disposal box.
  • Well behaved pets allowed including helping dogs (max. 2).
  • A familiarisation tour can be requested (especially if disability problems to be managed).
  • Doorway widths vary but non less than 700 mm. In the hall are coat hooks at high and low level and a low full length mirror.
Extra accessability equipment available on request:  
  • Vibrating pad/flashing alarm for smoke/heat/monoxide for a person hard of hearing.
  • Perching stool, walking frame, bath seat and portable hearing loop.
  • Seat raiser for toilet (+ 4 inches).
  • Also 2 high chairs and cots, and other items for babies and tots.
Filling station / convenience store  mile, pub with food 300 yards.
