Treffynnon is a luxury Pembrokeshire holiday cottage with mountain views to the south and sea views to the north. Nestling in the heart of the Pembrokeshire National Park with direct access to the Preseli Hills and within walking distance of Newport (Trefdraeth - town by the beach) it is ideally suited for walking or traditional beach holidays.

Accommodation
  • The traditional, stone-built, mountain farmhouse has glorious, panoramic views over Newport Bay, Dinas Island and Morfa Head. Sitting above the picturesque town of Newport, on the north-western slopes of Carn Ingli (Angel Mountain) in the Preseli Hills it is a magical setting for exploring Pembrokeshire. Finished to a high standard the cottage offers luxurious, high quality, self-catering facilities for up to eight people, in complete privacy and seclusion.
  • We have a fenced off, child-friendly paddock for playing games and rushing about and for the more adventurous the rocks of Carn Ffoi are just up the hill, behind the house.
  • The 4 oven AGA in the kitchen is a wonderful cooking machine and the heart of the house. Additionally, there is a wood stove in the living room (logs provided) and underfloor heating throughout the house guaranteeing you will be cosy whatever time of year you visit.
  • The utility room is equipped with washing machine, tumble dryer and second large fridge/freezer and there is also a downstairs toilet next to it.
  • In the living room you will find a Sony LCD TV and there's a DVD player and a selection of DVDs. The bookcase is stacked with a variety of books to suit a diverse readership.
  • For music lovers that bring their own iPod, iPhone or iPad there's a B&W Zeppelin Air Dock that will fill the house with sound if required. It also supports direct streaming from phones and laptops that are suitably equipped. As well as free wi-fi there is also an in-house iPod loaded with music of all styles and tastes that will keep you entertained for weeks.
  • There are two double bedrooms on the first floor as well as the bunk room and the family bathroom. The attic (low ceiling) has one double and one single bed.
  • Price is all-inclusive of heating, logs, bedding and towels (just bring beach towels).
The area around Treffynnon has lots to see and do for all the family. There is the large expanse of sand at Traeth Mawr, the smaller Parrog Beach on the estuary and the beautiful and secluded shingle beach at Aberhigian, a short walk along the Coastal Path. There is a golf course, kayaking, horse riding with treks on to Carn Ingli or through the beautiful woods of the Gwaun Valley to the renowned pub - Bessie.
