This place is a wonderful find - perfect for a peaceful break away in the midst of secluded Yorkshire scenery and cute little villages . I was there in summer and the garden was beautiful- we had breakfast in the garden and sometimes dinner too ! The welcome was really appreciated- there was fresh eggs, wild flowers, bread, even sherry, wine and home baking when we arrived ! The roll top bath is complete luxury too . I'd recommend this place to anyone.

Wow! Anyone thinking of staying, do not hesitate. The cottage is furnished and decorated to a very high standard. Fresh flowers in every room, we were greeted with a warm welcome from the hosts, and the kettle boiling as we arrived. A very generous welcome pack awaited us including freshly baked scones. The area is outstanding and very peaceful. You will not be disappointed.

The cottage far exceeded our expectations. Spacious, immaculate with treats including cake, fruit, milk, bread, butter, Sherry and a cold bottle of wine! Even the kettle had just boiled for a much needed cup of tea on arrival. Fresh eggs from the chickens saw us through a couple breakfasts. Everything you need is provided from a well equipped kitchen to toiletries. This is without a doubt the best cottage we've ever stayed in. From the beautiful views where ever you look to the beautifully decorated cottage, we loved it and will definitely be back!

There are not words adequate enough to describe this property. Superb, fantastic really do not say it all. This is an absolute gem of a place and Stuart and Sher were the perfect hosts. Clean, comfortable and perfectly placed for visits to Malton, Pickering, York and many more places of interest but just as important and quiet restful place.

This is a very well equipped cottage with everything we needed, and some extra thoughtful touches such as tea things set out for our arrival. Stuart and Sher were very welcoming and helpful when we arrived. The sitting room upstairs is delightful with views across the nearby hills - we enjoyed sitting here in the evenings. This cottage is close to Castle Howard, York and the Yorkshire Moors, so is in an excellent location. Supermarket shopping is available in Malton. Overall, we really enjoyed it here :)

Cottage is beautiful and in an excellent location, excellent value for money. Stuart had great recommendations for dinner and other activities. The wine and the fresh bread were a nice bonus! Would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely time at this spacious, charming and immaculate cottage! The location is truly beautiful and we certainly feel well rested following our stay. The welcome we received was extremely warm and generous, with a myriad of treats provided on arrival. Our hosts made us feel at home instantly and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay in this unique and marvellous cottage.

The cottage was everything we expected: very quiet location not far from Castle Howard and the North Moors National Park. Everything we needed was provided by the hosts who live next door. Altogether a lovely experience. Highly recommended.

Stuart made us very welcome with delicious supplies of fruit, wine, some essentials and amazing Yorkshire curd tarts. The accommodation was fantastic - beautifully finished and very comfortable. Would highly recommend.

This is the best holiday property I have ever stayed in. When we arrived at the cottage, I just said 'Wow!!" It's great when you get away to a place that is like a 'Home from Home', but this is so much better. ( My own home is great too though) Everything has been thought of. The cottage has been refurbished to an extremely high standard and we found it very clean and cosy, with beautiful views. Stuart and Sher were perfect hosts, and were on hand to help with any questions we had. They made us feel very welcome, and we are looking forward to visiting again, as soon as we can get up there. On a clear night, you will see more stars in the sky that you may have ever seen before. You even have your own piece of the garden! I am so pleased we found this lovely property. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Get there as soon as you can!

What an amazing place! Just as an English cottage should be and even better than that! Spacious but still cosy, furnished and decorated in the most loving and tasteful way. Fresh bread, butter, eggs, cake, wine and beautiful flowers from the garden formed part of a warm welcome. This is the place to book if you are looking for holidays in a great part of Yorkshire. I would certainly come back!

The property is in a tranquil and beautifully kept location, and is furnished and equipped to a very high standard. The owners offered a very warm welcome, providing wine, cake, fresh eggs (from their own hens) a fruit bowl and sherry. Having been shown round, we were left to our own devices, but were very glad to be taken on an impromptu tour of the gardens a couple of days later, and introduced to the very friendly sheep. A charming cottage, and delightful hosts.
