Quarme is situated just off a bridleway to Dunkery Beacon in the centre of Exmoor National Park. It was purpose built in 1900 as the Quarme Harriers Kennels. It looks down its own combe to the village of Exford, and has views to Winsford Hill.

Accommodation
  • The cottage has been modernised to a very comfortable standard and has 2 twin rooms and bathroom upstairs and 1 twin room and bath/shower room downstairs.
  • The sitting room has a woodburning stove, TV, DVD, unlimited Broadband, also a CD player and radio, and there is a large breakfastroom/kitchen with French doors to an enclosed yard.
  • Appliances in the kitchen and utility room include dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, and CD player with radio.
  • Oil fired Aga and  central heating.
  • There is a very large conservatory/garden room with French doors out to the lawn. It has its own woodburning stove, corner sofa and slate dining table, providing an elegant alternative dining/sitting area.
 Outside
  • There is ample parking and the property is enhanced by a well stocked garden providing an exciting outdoor area for older children on its terraced slopes. Small children would need to be supervised in this area but there is a secure gated yard overlooked from the kitchen French window.
Location
  • The village shops (Post Office, General Store) are easily reached by a 1/2 mile walk down a very quiet lane. Excellent walks over the moor and surrounding areas direct from the property.
  • Porlock, Dulverton, Dunster, Lynton and Minehead are all within easy reach.
  • Horse riding can easily be arranged locally, which is the best way to see the wilder areas.
