 Priestlands Bungalow is the holiday home in both the town and the country. Ideally located on the edge of town close to the facilities of Dumfries, with a rural outlook over grazed fields and the summit of Criffel. Well placed for easy access to explore beautiful Dumfries and Galloway. This former farm worker's cottage has recently been upgraded to a high standard.

Accommodation
3 bedroom single storey house, recently renovated to provide comfortable, modern accommodation, including:  
  • Comfortable living room with wood burning stove, 2 sofas, dining area seating up to 6, 32" LCD satellite TV, DVD player, radio/CD.
  • Well equipped kitchen including double electric oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine and microwave.
  • Tumble drier available on request.
  • One double bedroom.
  • One twin bedroom.
  • A single bedroom with additional fold up-bed.
  • Cot, highchair and baby bath.
  • Bathroom with bath and over bath shower.
  • Gas central heating throughout and instant hot water.
  • Linen and towels provided.
  • Heating and electricity included.
  • Exclusive use of south west facing garden with lawn, shrubs and a paved seating area, outlook over rolling fields, grazed in summer by cattle and sheep.
  • Adjacent off road parking bay (sorry not suitable for large vans or trucks).
  • Lockable cupboard for bikes, boots and outdoor gear.
  • Pressure washer available on request for cycles and motorcycles.
  • Tea/coffee/milk provided on arrival.
The owners live next door at Priestlands Cottage, so are on hand to help if needed during your stay. Other houses are close by, but not too near. You can have your privacy, but you won't feel remote and isolated.

NB Steps to the front and rear entrances.

Location  
  • Dumfries town centre a few minutes drive, short bus ride or 25 minute walk.
  • Easy drive to choice of supermarkets, also newspaper and convenience store a 10 minute walk.
  • The University within easy reach.
  • On the A710 Dumfries to New Abbey road, a great base for exploring the local area, a short drive to the Solway Estuary and Coast, local RSPB and WWT bird reserves, historic sites at New Abbey and Caerlaverock Castle, mountain biking at Mabie Forest, two adventure/animal parks for children.
  • Minutes drive from the A75, the main route through Dumfries and Galloway, well placed for journeys further afield, to rural attractions, the towns of Moffat, Castle Douglas, Kirkcudbright and on to Wigtownshire in the far west.
