Pole Rue Farm has many attractions nearby including the famous Jurassic Coast. Lyme Regis is the nearest seaside town just 25 minutes’ drive away. Our location is excellent for exploring the nearby counties of Devon, Dorset and Somerset. The cottages have a plentiful supply of information on nearby attractions such as National Trust properties, cider makers, walking, cycling, wildlife, RSPB sites, sea fishing trips and a donkey sanctuary to name a few.

There are many excellent pubs and restaurants in the surrounding area. At Axminster (10 miles), we have Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage Restaurant and an excellent American-owned Route 66 Diner where you will find delicious thick milkshakes. If you were to head west on the A30, at the village of Monkton (4 miles) you can stop off for scrumptious homemade Otter Valley Dairy ice creams. We have only been here 2 years and we are always being told by locals about a new gem we have yet to discover. There really is something for everyone. A Somerset cottage with the WOW factor
 5 out of 5
We holiday in lots of cottages in the UK but this is the best holiday cottage we've ever stayed in. The cottage is equipped with everything you would need and more, the views from the front door are breath taking and the owners are two of the friendliest, nicest people you're likely to meet.

There are two cottages, we stayed in Bluebell which upstairs has two bedrooms, one double and one twin, bathroom with shower/bath and downstairs an open plan lounge and kitchen and cloakroom. It has a Samsung tv, dvd player, music centre and the wifi works perfectly plus a wood burner for winter months.

Outside you have a patio table and chairs, bench, bbq but the best thing about this cottage is the views, you're surrounded by fields, one has 3 horses you can stroke, one has chickens who love to chat to you lol and the owners who live next door have a friendly lurcher called Poppy who loves to play ball with you.

So when you wake up in the mornings all you can hear is the birds singing, the chickens clucking and the horses neighing, its paradise, trust me.

The cottages are in a little village called called Combe St Nicholas, a few miles from Chard so ideally situated for visiting places like Taunton, Bridgewater, Minehead, Watchet, Burnham-On-Sea, Lyme Regis, Sidmouth, Honiton, Bridport.

Our favourite place was Burton Bradstock, wonderful views and also we'd recommend you visit the South West Deer rescue centre in Crewkerne, you can get up close to the deer and feed them biscuits.

So a wonderful holiday at Bluebell cottage, thank you Leigh & Nick for making us so welcome, we will be back late Summer.
