 Old School House is a delightfully cosy stone built detached cottage surrounded by the stunning forests and wild moorlands of Northumberland National Park's western border. The cottage is surrounded by trees and gardens and lies at the head of a secluded private drive adjacent to the A68 as it heads north to the Scottish Border. With its impressive scenery, breath-taking views and rare wildlife, this is perfect countryside for all nature lovers, walkers, cyclists, star-gazers and families. Kielder Water and Forest Park is close by and the many attractions of Northumberland and The Scottish Borders lie within easy reach. Meals available from the Forest View Inn (walking distance) and Redesdale Arms (short drive away).

Accommodation
The cottage is sympathetically furnished and decorated to a high standard:

Ground Floor:  
  • Farmhouse style kitchen/dining room with oil fired Rayburn (providing 24 hour central heating), electric oven/hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, Automatic washer/dryer.
  • Sitting room with comfy sofas, log burning stove, colour TV/DVD player and radio.
  • Shower room with heated towel rail.
Upstairs:  
  • Two delightful bedrooms, one double and one twin. Both are built under the eaves and have limited headroom to the sides.
 Outside:  
  • Parking in front of the cottage.
  • Gardens on all sides and enclosed lawn to the rear.
Facilities:  
  • The Rayburn is always lit for bookings between 1 Oct to 1 May and may be available at other times by agreement with the owners.
  • Electricity, unlimited logs and bed linen are all included.
  • Towels on request at £5 per person.
