Set within one of the prettiest parts of the Dartmouth countryside, the property overlooks glorious, rolling Devon countryside and is less than three minutes from Dartmouth's beautiful, historic centre and only a short drive to the superb local beaches (please email us for more photos).

The chalet has its own grassy area in front, ideal for playing on as well as relaxing in the sun. This is a great location for taking advantage of nearby Dartmouth's excellent range of 'characterful' cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops and is a particularly practical location (if you don't wish to drive on holiday) being on a bus route down into Dartmouth (very short journey - 2 mins approx) and the nearby beaches. A tranquil, practical location with glorious rural views, no problems with parking, easy access to beaches and surrounded by beautiful countryside yet only a short drive to Dartmouth, the estuary embankment and the superb local beaches (Blackpool Sands and Slapton).

Previous guests comment on how the chalet and its scenic location offer extremely good value compared to many of the other self catering options in Dartmouth (and with the added benefit of space, views, comfort and quiet). Visitors appreciate the views, the tranquillity and the way in which the property is ideal for both relaxing in and as a base for exploring this stunningly beautiful area.

Note: duvets, blankets and pillows are supplied but please bring sheets, pillow-cases, duvet covers and towels. If you can't bring linen this can be ordered for a modest extra charge.

Accommodation comprises:

Dartmouth area

Dartmouth and its olde-world centre is considered the capital of Devon's spectacular South Hams region, famous for peaceful rolling countryside, renowned coastline, excellent beaches and coastal walks along footpaths leading to secluded beaches.

The focal point is Dartmouth's bustling harbour and broad, wooded river. The town is designated a Conservation Area with 16th and 17th century timbered buildings, historic narrow streets, beautiful old shops, intimate pubs and excellent restaurants.

In addition to the stunning local beaches, numerous attractions include the town's outdoor swimming pool, pleasure cruises upriver to Totnes, sailing and hiring motor boats for exploring the river or fishing, taking the Kingswear car ferry across to Torbay's more bustling resorts of Brixham, Paignton and Torquay (10-15 minutes) or travelling on the restored steam train running between Kingswear and Paignton. Tennis is available in Dartmouth's Coronation Park and the excellent town golf course is less than 5 minutes drive.

For fishing enthusiasts there are plenty of opportunities to join a sea fishing charter boat for flat fish, bream, pollock, bass and mackerel. Sharks and Conger Eel are also caught regularly. Fresh water fishermen have abundant opportunities for both coarse and game fishing in well stocked reservoirs or on river beats.
