Kirkland Farmhouse  is a recently renovated, beautifully presented stone farmhouse, located in one of the most picturesque areas of Galloway, with fantastic views across rolling countryside and the Galloway Hills.

The farmhouse sleeps 8 comfortably and is furnished to a high standard. It is well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The accommodation consists of:

Ground Floor  
  • Living and Dining - An open plan living room and dining area which is bright and spacious with a TV and wood burning stove. A large dining table and chairs which seats 8. The stairs are situated between the living and dining area.
  • Sitting Room - A second room to sit and relax with a TV, sofa and bean bag chair.
  • Kitchen - a large and bright modern kitchen which is well equipped with microwave, electric hob, electric oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer, kitchen utensils etc. kitchen table and stools.
  • Utility room - washing machine,iron and ironing board, pully.
  • Downstairs bathroom - with shower, toilet and hand basin with storage below.

 First Floor  
  • 4 bedrooms - 2 x king size rooms and 2 twin rooms.
  • Bathroom - Bath with overhead shower, toilet and hand basin.
  • Shower room.
Outside  
  • Gardens to front and side, with ample off road parking.
  • Enclosed garden, old pig sty has been converted to a BBQ area.
Around and About  
  • Kirkland Farmhouse is ideally situated for the outdoor enthusiast. Walk out of the door to St. John's Town of Dalry, a pretty village, that has a playpark for the children, a hotel, a village pub and restaurant, a bowling green, a well-stocked grocery shop and a petrol station.
  • Walking - There are plenty of walking routes - Southern Upland Way walking route is just a short walk away, or follow the River and walk from Dalry to New Galloway.
  • Fishing - River Ken and Loch Ken are well known for great fishing, River Ken is a short walk from the farmhouse, while Loch Ken is just a few miles away.
  • Watersports - A short drive to Loch Ken where you will find an abundance of watersports and activities.
  • Birdwatching and Wildlife - Galloway has it all, from red kites, red squirrels and red deer (which can all be seen locally) or drive to the coast to see porpoises, dolphins and seals!
  • Dark Skies - With very little light pollution at Kirkland Farmhouse, the stargazing on a clear night is simply amazing.
Location  
  • From Castle Douglas we are just 20 minutes away - follow the A713 towards Ayr, just before you enter St John's Town of Dalry we are the Farmhouse on the left, if you go into Dalry, you have gone too far.
  • From Ayr we are around 45 minutes away - follow the A713 towards Castle Douglas, when you enter St John's Town of Dalry, follow the road around and just as you leave the village Kirkland Farmhouse is on the right.
