Cosy cottage with secluded south-facing garden, in pretty Herefordshire village of Dorstone in the Golden Valley not far from Hay-on-Wye and on the edge of the Brecon Beacons. A family holiday home managed by the owners.

The cottage sleeps 4-5 people, with 2 bedrooms plus additional sitting room/landing with sofa bed, ample living room, separate eat-in kitchen, family bathroom and downstairs cloakroom. The living room has 3 comfy sofas around a large stone fireplace with log-burning stove. The kitchen is well-equipped, with dishwasher, electric oven, microwave, fridge and freezer. The master bedroom with double bed, a glimpse of the surrounding hills. The second bedroom (downstairs) looks out onto the garden with singles or a kingsize bed, and a small hand basin. The secluded garden to the rear is a real little sun-trap, with patio, table and chairs, additional sun loungers and charcoal barbecue available. Off road parking.

The cottage, which has excellent internet connection, is situated on a quiet lane, with only the neighbours' cars passing and the occasional horse. The excellent Pandy Inn is in the centre of the village, about a two minute walk away. Also St Faiths Church known to date back to the mid 13th century, although very possibly a lot older.

Country walks bound in every direction. The cottage is well suited as a base for all outdoor pursuits, with washer/dryer and airing cupboard, and a shed available to store bicycles.

  • Bedroom 2 (downstairs) 2 single beds or one kingsize. Hand basin. Looks onto garden.
  • Bedroom 1 (upstairs) double bed. Glimpse of surrounding hills.
  • Bathroom with bath, basin, toilet and separate shower cubicle. Spacious airing-cupboard.
  • Large landing/sitting room with sofa bed. Can be curtained off for cosiness privacy. Smart TV.
  • Bed linen and towels are provided.
  • All household items provided - toilet paper, detergents etc.

Outside:  
  • Secluded, and secure, south-facing garden with tables, chairs and deck chairs.
  • Charcoal BBQ provided.
  • Ample off-road parking in front of the Cottage.
