Friars Mead is a detached house with 5 bedrooms in a quiet area 5 minutes walk from Kents Bank Station and 1 mile from Grange-over-Sands. There are amazing views over Morecambe Bay from the rooms, balcony and garden.

Accommodation  
  • The ground floor has lounge, kitchen and dining room, 2 bedrooms (1 double, 1 single), bathroom with bath, shower, washbasin and toilet.
  • The first floor has three bedrooms (1 double, 1 single, and 1 twin with a double futon), bathroom with shower unit, wash basin and toilet.
  • The lower ground floor has two games rooms with pool table, table football and air hockey.
  • The house is well equipped with electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washing machine and dryer, TV, DVD player, Hi-Fi.
  • All linen provided.
  • Gas, electricity and water are included in the price.
  • Free WiFi.

Location  
  • Grange-over-Sands is a small Edwardian seaside resort with a promenade, cafes, fish and chips, take-aways, pub meals, the famous Higginson's butchers, gift shops, tennis courts, a children's play area and a lovely park where children can feed the ducks. Not far from the town centre are two golf courses.
  • Nearby is Cartmel with its Priory, race course, quaint streets, sticky toffee pudding, gourmet restaurants, small brewery, cheese shop and bakery and Holker Hall with extensive grounds.
  • There are many walks in the area, Hampsfell Hospice and Humphrey Head being popular. Guide books and maps are available for visitors to use.
  • During the summer months there is likely to be the opportunity to take part in a guided walk across Morecambe Bay.
  • The heart of the Lake District, with its mountains and lakes is easily accessible by car with the southern end of Windermere only 5 miles away.
  • Places to visit include Fell Foot Park, Levens Hall, the Motor Museum, Lakeside with the Lakes Aquarium, Sizergh Castle, shopping in Bowness, Windermere and Ambleside.
  • Boat trips on Lake Windermere and Coniston Water and a ride on the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway.
  • A short train trip from Kents Bank Station to the other side of the bay is popular, to Arnside or Silverdale where the RSPB Leighton Reserve can be visited (free of charge if you travel by train). Longer train journeys are possible to Lancaster and Morecambe, or to Barrow in Furness, Whitehaven and Ravenglass, where another train will take you on the famous Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway.
