Damson Cottage is a delightful and comfortable 17th Century terraced cottage within the conservation area of the historic village of Nether Stowey, in the foothills of the Quantock Hills (AONB).


The cottage is well furnished, with period features and comprises: - A cosy beamed sitting room with inglenook fireplace and woodburner; digital TV/DVD player, a radio/cd/cassette player and lots of local information and maps, books and games.
- A separate dining room with a chair-bed.
- A light and spacious kitchen/breakfast room with a table for 2, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, modern electric cooker. The windows overlook the pretty garden.
- Upstairs are double and twin bedrooms and a bathroom with electric shower.
- The small garden is sunny and secluded, having a patio with table and chairs, lawned area and shrubs, and enclosed by a fence making it safe for children and pets.
- Broadband / WiFi.
Location:

- With the Quantocks being within 1 mile, the cottage is ideal for exploring this beautiful area with its moorland, woods, wildlife and wonderful views.
- The poet Coleridge lived in the village and his cottage (NT) is open to the public, and the village is the start of the newly designated Coleridge Way.
- The sea and varied coastline is within 4 miles. The nearest beach is Kilve (5 miles), where you can look for fossils (also to be seen in our garden!). Blue Anchor beach, sandy and with views of Exmoor, is a little further away.
- There is a post office/general stores, a butcher and two pubs serving meals, and a tea room serving cream teas.
- Parking is available in Castle Street outside the cottage and there is also a small (free) car park further up the road.
- Attractions within easy reach are the mediaeval Dunster Village and Castle, the ancient port of Watchet, Exmoor, Minehead, West Somerset Steam Railway, Tropiquaria for children at Williton, Hestercombe Gardens, Glastonbury, Cheddar Gorge and Caves, and much more.
