our first time to Skye, the long journey was worth it. We loved Cobblers Croft and wished we could have stayed longe. The views and wildlife on Skye amazing - we have many photos as reminders. Mixed weather, 2 hot sunny days, 2 days of mist and rain, the remainder dry. The Croft has been lovely, the girls stayed whilst the boys explored for 2 days. We had a great time relaxing and enjoying its comforts. Boys went on a boat trip and saw white tipped eagle, basking sharks, puffins and much more.
A great holiday, hopefully we will be back for longer next time. Laz, Nicky, Ryan & Sarah Whittaker, Macclesfield.
Pottered in the garden, watered plants and tubs, weeded tubs & patio very relaxing. Defrosted freezer drawers (but not whole freezer)

First time in Cobblers Croft, found it to be very comfortable had the best sleep ever. We have been to Skye before but haven’t stayed in as nice a place as this Croft, would highly recommend it to everyone. Fairy Glen is a must to see, found it so enjoyable, lots to see. Neist Point is a must to go and see, you have a bit of a walk so wear sensible shoes (lol) Great views! Thank you Jackie for keeping our deposit from last year to allow us to come back this year you’re one in a million missy. Fiona had the best week ever. All the best Gary & Fiona Hook p.s. will be back!

Another very enjoyable week in Cobblers Croft with my niece Caroline and her partner Phil from Stroud, and our friend Tony from Hamilton. A bit chilly outside this year so it’s good to have this cosy House to come home to. Went across to Loch Carron, nice views. I appreciate the well-equipped kitchen when catering for a small group. Off north to Lochinver now - hope it doesn’t snow &£128522;

Had a lovely few days staying at Cobblers Croft. Beautiful cottage and beautiful island with lots to explore. Perfect location for exploring with a young family and dog - we all loved seeing Skye. Would definitely recommend and hope to be back soon.
The Grants xx - 30th December 2017 - 3rd January 2018
Two great weeks spent here again. Sadly one member of the family gone so it is fitting that we should still return to a place for a family holiday that mum loved so much and looked forward to returning to Cobblers. A fine place to remember her. Hope to be back next year also. Gary, Dave & Nala Attwood - Reading. 30th September 2017
Well, there goes yet another great week at Cobblers! As ever, the best wee place to stay on Skye. Thanks to Christine for from what I hear was a hard days work last week. Weather was a mixed bag, but if you want good weather, Skye isn’t top of the list anyway..... here’s looking forward to next year! Thanks Jackie. John & Sue Matheson (and Maggie) Brechin. 5th August 2017
Amazing, love the cottage and Skye. Very homely and welcoming, a home from home, we will be back! Children have fallen in love with the place, still so much to see and do. Both boys have had fab birthdays, we hope and wish you a lovely birthday also Jackie. Many thanks. Maggie 29th July 2016
Thank you for accommodating us, we felt very at home, especially the dog! We can recommend :- Dunvegan Castle Gardens. Seaprobe Atlantis boat trip. The Claymore (if you like fish). Hope whoever's here next doesn’t get eaten alive by midges like us! Love Katrina, Vance, Kate & Ryan and Sox from Fife. 10th - 17th June 2017
Here we are again. This is becoming a habit. Skye is so wonderful and this house suits us perfectly. Well equipped and situated fairly near the bridge. Quite a lot of tourists this year. The midges are just beginning but this remains one of our very favourite places. Fiona Roberson, and Jean Luc, Paris, France. Caroline Malloy and Phil Stadricki, Stroud. 20th -27th May 2017
Recommendations .... pizza in Sia. Boat trip to loch Coruisk. Coffee and muffins at Deli Gastra. Some good walks in the ‘40 coast and country walks’ Book. Plockton. Lovely time, thank you. The Utley Parker’s
15th - 22nd April 2017
We’ve had the whole range of weather, from sitting out in the sun, to blizzard conditions! Wonderful to see the snow on the mountains. Trip to Elgol with blue sky and sun was stunning, as was the trip to Dunvegan and Coral beach. Excellent bar food at Eileen l’armain, Isle Ornsay. We would recommend it. Also Carron restaurant, Strathcarron on the mainland, lovely afternoon tea. Please avoid the Taste of India if you don’t like salty food. We couldn’t eat it as it was so salty. Waterfront cafe is quite pricey and the fish portion rather small. Great cottage - many thanks for everything. Jackie & Bill Mackrill South Derbyshire & Claire & Dan Mackrill, South Staffs 11th - 25th March 2017
Thanks for maintaining such a characterful Croft! Everything catered for. Even an early morning wake up call from the local cockerel! Loved the island, so peaceful and relaxing. “Taste of India” restaurant is top class, Castle Moil in Kyleakin well worth a visit, view from there is perfect! Thanks again, Julie, Johnny & Tia (the dog) Derbyshire. 15th - 21st October 2016
Had an absolutely enjoyable time staying on Skye made that much better by staying in a wonderful place! Hope to return again. many thanks. Lin, Gary, Dave and Nala Reading 17th Sept - 1st October 2016
Amazing, love the cottage & Skye! Very homely and welcoming a home from home, we will be back! Children have fallen in love with the place, still so much to see and do. Both boys have had fab birthdays we hope and wish you a lovely birthday also Jackie. Many thanks Maggie x 29th July 2016
Once again we enjoyed our stay at Cobblers Croft, this time we had perfect weather too! Jean Luc congratulations you on the excellent shower. Tony appreciated the good sound system. Caroline and Phil liked the comfy bed, nice sheets and amazing view. It was Phil's first visit to Scotland and he thoroughly enjoyed it. We believe this is the best time of year, before the midges (but they are just arriving!) and not too many tourists - they are arriving now too. Thank you for everything. Fiona Robertson, Jean Luc Sachel, Paris, France. Tony McGowan, Hamilton, Lanarkshire. Caroline Molloy & Phil Stadnicki, Stroud, Gloucester. 21st - 28th May 2016
Thank you Jackie, we had a wonderful stay at your beautiful cottage. The webpage does not do it justice. Would recommend it to anyone. The dogs especially loved it. Best wishes Milly, John, "Skye the border collie" and Sam xxxx 14th - 21st May 2016
We loved your cottage. It was so comfortable, warm, welcoming and full of homely touches. Some holiday cottages feel like impersonal holiday homes but yours was not one of these. After lovely days seeing the island it was so lovely to come home and sit in the sun lounge with a cup of tea and a biscuit. The evenings we spent in were perfect, snuggled up in your comfortable lounge in front of the log burner with a bottle of wine. Thank you so much for letting us use your cottage. Both Steve and I really enjoyed our holiday and our doggie had a fantastic time too. Best wishes Heather & Steve 16th - 22nd April 2016
Had a very enjoyable week at Cobblers Croft. Weather has been good for the time of year. Cottage very welcoming and well equipped. Enjoyed two lovely meals at the Claymore Inn and Blas in Dunvegan is well worth a visit. Also nice fish and chip shop in Broadford. Kai the collie enjoyed his walks! Thanks again Linda & Jim, Kinross. 11th - 17th October 2015
What a beautiful Isle - will always remember the wonderful colours of the start of autumn. Mountains, sea and wildlife fantastic. Cobblers Croft is a lovely place to return to after a day out in it all. Memorable boat trips to see seals and sea eagles plus a days kayaking with Alison out of Plockton. Great week helped by blazing sunshine. Enjoy! Whoever stays next. Colin & Lynn 3rd - 10th October 2015
So sad to be leaving the lovely Cobblers Croft, and the Island of Skye. Weather has been sunny and warm and the ever changing view of the sky has been wonderful. Being at Cobblers Croft has been a delight. Jackie and Malcolm thanks so much for letting us share your home. We will be back! Love Annette & Craig 3rd October 2015
Cottage fine, No problems, comfortable, clean and welcoming. Midges not so welcome! Beautiful weather for full fortnight. Love the Chip Shop and Claymore Inn. Slow cooker in kitchen most welcome. Have had a great time, been on loads of walks. Our best walk is from just outside Portree end of Broadford on the right. Follow the path to top of hill, lovely seat and views. Stayed there with binoculars for an hour. Fantastic then carry on back round past the cemetery. Chris & Anne Lucas 5th - 19th September 2015
Had a great stay. The weather was excillerating and midge free! We have been everywhere and love Skye. The cottage is very good - loads of space, clean and warm, beds comfortable (important!). NB disappointed at "Creelers". Too many vegetables and salad leaves - not enough fish - small portions. Janet Allsebrook 5th September 2015
a lovely and very comfortable cottage. Very relaxing just watching the ever changing scenery. Weather a bit damp but didn't put us off. Visited 'Fairy Pools'. Coral beach well worth it! Thank you for a lovely holiday, the Bayliss (MacDonnell) clan. 26th July - 1st August 2015
Just could not fault Cobblers Cottage. Great for the mainland or touring around the island. Two weeks here and most days we saw all four seasons in one day. Applecross - great pub, some drive over the pass of the cattle, loads of great scenery. Love Plockton. Best food by a long way was the pub in Dornie but Red Skye and Plockton Inn all very good. 2 weeks and not a midge in sight!
If the cottage had not been as good, the amount of rain would have wrecked our stay here, but we loved every minute, you don't come to Skye for a tan. Thanks, Sally and Arran Dunlop and Alex (Skye Terrier) 11th - 25th July 2015.
We loved Cobblers Cottage and Skye. The accommodation was comfortable and welcoming and we felt it was a home from home. Dog, elderly parent and disabled partner all had fun. Skye is wonderful, lots more to see, still hope to come again. Nicky & Tina 4th - 11th July 2015
Very comfortable, cosy cottage with everything you need, so much so we are thinking of staying forever !!! The scenery is unbelievable, we've had a lovely time. Thank you. Alison, Nick & Family, Shrewsbury. 6th - 12th June 2015
Had enjoyable time here on Skye with the family. Plenty of things to do and see, Very cosy cottage. Sue & Mike Withy. 16th - 23rd May 2015
Our stay here in your most comfortable and welcoming house played a key role in my dream come true - to visit Scotland. Thanks to our friends Fiona and Jean-Luc for bringing us here to Skye and to Cobblers Croft. Nancy Richardson, Pierre Penteuil, Fiona Robertson & Jean Luc Sechel, Paris, France. 9th - 16th May 2015.
A lovely cosy house, beautifully decorated, well maintained and little details were taken care. Felt homely and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would love to come back and spend more time, wish there was another toilet/shower or perhaps WC.
Sanjana and family 1st - 3rd May 2015
Restful, wonderful week, no amount of rain could dampen the spirit, too much to see and do. Looking forward to my next visit to Skye. Pauline Betts, Kent. 21st - 28th February 2015
Feel so at home here, another wonderful week in this beautiful cottage. Thank you once again for your kindness, very much appreciated. Hoping it won't be too long until we are back again x

Once again we had a lovely and wonderful time at the cottage and Isle of Skye. The cottage keeps looking better and better each year... Hopefully we are back end of this year or beginning of 2016. Thanks a million times Arvin Pannell & Jasmin Acosta from Puerto Rico.
P.S. Finally Jasmin got some photos of the croft with snow! Jan 2015
We have both had a lovely stay at Cobblers Cottage for our mini-moon. The weather wasn't great so we made the most of the log fire. The cottage was ideally situated to see all the sights of Skye. The 3 Chimneys was the highlight of our trip. We hope to come back again sometime to explore the island further. Love Mr & Mrs Morrison. 21st October 2014
Lovely weather, cosy cottage and relaxed nights, a memory to be kept. Rope inside the fire door needs replacing, (son in the trade so know the signs). Views across the bay changeable and amazing, saw the Northern Lights on Wednesday evening, from the warmth of the lounge! Pauline Potts, Kent
Had a wonderful week with Sarah and Paul and our delightful grandson Ben. Loved the cottage, it felt so homely. Thank you for your kindness - much appreciated. Pete & Lorraine Littlewood x and Poppy!
11th October 2014
Just a wee note to say Cobblers Croft is a wonderful, homely place to stay. We only used the sitting room on the side as the weather was so good and the dogs could wander in and out, and speak to the dogs next door through the fence! We had such fantastic weather too! We had sunshine every day except Friday when we were leaving anyway. It was warm and sunny and I didn't need my fleece or waterproofs and we could eat outside with the dogs.
I would definitely recommend your cottage to anyone. Thanks. Cary. 14th September 2014
Thank you so much for a wonderful week. We had many adventures and beautiful walks. The island is stunning. We hope to come back soon and wished we had longer stay as so much to see.
Great that we could each bring our dogs. They loved it!
Grace, Maxine & Stewart, Falkirk. 6th September 2014
Thanks Jackie for a great week. Love the house. Fantastic isle. Weather exceeded all expectations. Red Skye + Plockton Inn we would recommend - excellent seafood. Hope to come back. Alan & Janet Brown, Sandie & Mark Wilson, Crewe, Cheshire. 30th August 2014.
. Our third visit to Skye! Ideally situated to visit family in Scullamus. Perfect for our family, separate lounges if needed. Clean, tidy, cosy cottage, highly recommended. Weather was glorious, which was a bonus. Plenty to do, even our 6year old granddaughter tried archery and axe throwing (Armadale activities) again highly recommended. Didn't even bother us that the mobile signal was hit and miss - we were on holiday after all! Plenty of walking for the dog - I think he (and only he) will be glad to get home for a rest. Friendly neighbours also. We will be back for sure. Many thanks Lesley Farrell & family, Wirral, Merseyside. 23rd August 2014. Our tip would be buy a bottle of "Smidge" (approx £7) the midges were slightly uncomfortable but this really helped keep them away from you.
Our first visit to the island and we've had a fabulous time. The weather couldn't have been better. We travelled all around the island and our favourite place was Elgol. The cottage is lovely, very comfortable and we hope to come back in the future.
Julie, David and Tia , Cheshire. July 2014
Once again, time to go, and once again we wish we could stay! The place feels like home now. As ever, it's a delight to stay here, and, to paraphrase Arnie : "We'll be back"!
Thanks for making this lovely cottage available, and thanks must go to Sarah for preparing it so well every time.
John & Sue Matheson, Brechin. July 2014
Had a fantastic week in Skye on our first visit here. Weather was super and the sun shone 6 out of 7 days, making walking and trips to the beach great! The cottage is ideally placed for visiting all the sights on the Island and for local shops. There are some great restaurants, but our favourite was "Red Skye" a 15 minute walk to your right back to Breakish. The food is outstanding and the owners Lesley and John were friendly, and we went back more than once! Will definitely be back to the cottage and Skye next year :-) Thanks.
Gillian, Grant, Corran and Emily and our Westie Charlie! July 2014
Have had a great holiday, first time in Skye. Children had a great time fishing off Dunvegan where they saw a large number of dolphins, 4 Minky Whales and Seals - brilliant !! The cottage was perfect, ideal situation. Thank you.
Hart, Elliott and McNidder families. June 2014
We have enjoyed a superb week in Cobblers Cottage. the weather has been ideal for outdoor activities. Visits to the Old Man of Storr, Quirang, Isle of Raasay, Sligachan (the range of whiskies has to be seen to be believed). Our favourite was the trip to Loch Coruisk on 'Bella Jane". The cottage has every comfort and is well positioned for getting around Skye.
Thank you for a lovely stay.
Hylton & Sylvia Craig Neil And Sheilian Craig. June 2014
Very cosy cottage, only one complaint, we had to sleep downstairs and the bed under the window was very uncomfortable, you can feel every spring. Well past it's sell by date.
Mr & Mrs Daniel May 2014 ( please note: new memory foam mattress now on this bed!)
A lovely cottage, we had a great week on Skye. Many thanks.
Pamela, James, Tom & Alex. May 2014
We much enjoyed our week on Skye and it's great to have a comfy place to come home to.
The different seating areas are very nice for a varied age group of people.
All very well equipped. A small comment on the rather worn and very soft mattress on the downstairs bed by the window.
We hope to return some day.
Fiona Robertson and French husband and relatives. May 2014. (please note : new memory foam mattress now on this bed)
Lovely cottage, well presented and bonus of beautiful weather. Travelled all over the island and enjoyed the many photo opportunities for my husband. Idylic walks for Dylan.
Janet & James Morris and Dylan the dog. April 2014
As always, we have found Skye and the cottage delightful. We have been so lucky with the weather this week, been able to tackle Blaven, Syurr Medeanoch and Brvack Na Frithe (got to the start of the ridge, it was blowing a gale)!
Skye is truly beautiful, and I'm sure we'll be up again! (It was a pleasure to spend our honeymoon here)!
Very comfortable cottage. Enjoyed our annual visit to Skye. Weather good on the whole. Hope to be back next year.
Morag Simpson, Hugh & Rachel Chisholm. Emma and boys, Newtonmore. April 2014
A very enjoyable stay. A lovely cottage well furnished and well equipped. We loved our family visit to the Isle of Skye.
Thank you - The Wilsons.
only a short 4 day stay to visit family but what a comfortable lovely cottage to stay in. A really nice touch with Skye Multiform and the Wifi - home from home. Long trip back to Norfolk so off to bed now.
