What a fantastic week we have had! This cottage has been the best find location wise; half way between the Lakes and Yorkshire Dales. We have managed to visit Hadrian's Wall, walk up the "Old Man of Coniston", taste cheese in Wendsleydale, seen the highest waterfall in England and walked the longest "show case" at White Scar Caves, all in 6 days.  Richard & Tracy

The area is beautiful and we enjoyed some lovely walks around Cumbria and Yorkshire.  Emma & Mark

The cosy cottage has been a home to us.  We have had lots of places to explore.  It was our second visit and we will be coming back again soon.  Heather & John

We have had a wonderful time here in Brough.  The cottage is lovely and a great base for many excellent days out.  Heather, Dave, Joseph, & Isaac

When we opened the front door to the cottage, we just knew we going to have a good week.  Michael & Anne-Marie

Such a lovely cottage.    Anita & Jack

A real home from home.    Julie and Ivan

It is such a beautiful part of the country, with lots to see and do.  Clifford Courtyard is a place you can feel at home in.   Cathy and Andrew

We really enjoyed our holiday, it was great to relax in the warmth of a real fire. The weather didn't cause us problems, in fact it added to the experience, a real winter wonderland.     Phil

We wanted to write and thank you again for a most enjoyable stay at your beautiful cottage.  Brough was our first stop in England, and will always be a special place to us,  we so loved exploring the area, it really wasn't long enough.  Maree and Bob.

Once again your cottage was very comfortable and we feel you went above the norm to ensure we enjoyed our stay.

CLIFFORD COURTYARD cottage is beautiful and to a very high standard, the down stairs is a great family space. The cottage was perfectly warm through out, so did not use the log burner, but may have to use this as an excuse to return in Autumn.  We had a lovely week, spending the mornings chilling as a family which for us is a luxury.  Brough has a small but exquisite water fall which could easily be missed, a good community area for picnics or playing outdoor games.  The castle is worth a visit with a caf√© - can recommend their ‚?~iron drew ‚?~ice cream.  Kirkby Stephen is a charming village to have a walk round and only four miles away. Kendal and Penrith are about 20 miles both have a great Weatherspoons.

Just a quick message to say thank you for our recent stay in your lovely cottage. Susan and I found it very comfortable and fully equipped with all we needed for a relaxing stay. It made a great base for an enjoyable holiday with all our favourite places not too far away. Finding the Classic bus going to Kendal and Barnard Castle from Brough was a bonus.Hope to come back in September.

David and Susan

We have loved our week in your cottage.
The cottage is very comfortable and was spotlessly clean.
We have been to Barnard Castle, Appleby, Kendal, Keswick,  had a drive around the Yorkshire Dales, been up to the waterfall in Teesdale and Raby castle.
Everywhere in Cumbria and the Dales is absolutely stunning and with still sooo much left to see and do, I'm sure we'll be back again....fairly soon.
