 The cottage sits in 0.3 of an acre of private grounds consisting of a front garden, large parking area and a large private secure rear garden with a barbecue area and double swing. The gardens are well planted and kept tidy.

Accommodation  
  • The cottage can sleep five and has one double and one twin bedroom, both bedrooms have blackout blinds and curtains to keep the strong early sunshine from waking you at 4am!
  • The sitting room has a log burning stove, windows front and back, two sofas, TV and a DVD player.
  • The dining-room has windows front and back, dining table and sideboard.
  • In the kitchen the window is to the front. There is a cooker, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. The heating system is located in the cupboard and there is a fire blanket, fire extinguisher and carbon monoxide alarm fitted.
  • The bathroom and broom cupboard are off the hall.
  • There is a quiet room with books games and easy chairs a comfortable folding single bed is in here too.
  • A cot high chair and stair gate can be set up if requested.
  • Being an old traditional cottage the head height is under 6 feet at some of the doors and the original stair is twisting and narrow!
  • There is now unlimited broadband and wifi in the cottage.
  • Smoking is not permitted inside the cottage.


 Location  
  • Brora is the perfect center for enjoying Sutherland with an abundance of lovely views. The relaxed pace of life, fresh air and longer daylight in the summer is just good for the soul.
  • Golf - The Royal Dornoch golf course is 16 miles south and Brora has an 18 hole links course designed by James Baird.
  • There are miles of award winning sandy beaches with lots of rock pools for the children to explore, great to watch and listen to the seals and see what the tide has brought in.
  • Why not try panning of gold? Equipment can be hired in Helmsdale 11 miles north.
  • There is a horse riding centre in Brora as well as shooting and fishing.
  • Dunrobin Castle is about 4 miles south just after a good example of an iron age broch.
  • A perfect base to drive up to see Orkney for a night or two.
  • Local restaurants, shops and pubs are located in the village.
