Brimsness Cottage is situated on the small peninsula of Brims on the island of Hoy. Its elevated position provides spectacular views across the Pentland Firth and across the island itself. The coastal scenery is also very impressive with the moods and colours changing every day.

Features and Location:
  • Brimsness Cottage is an ideal base from which to explore the island of Hoy.
  • It is about two miles to the well stocked local shop. There are also two hotels within two miles. One provides excellent evening meals throughout the summer.
  • Hoy is the second largest of the Orkney islands. It is very rich in history with sites that date from prehistoric times to the 20th Century.
  • Hills and stunning sea cliffs offer excellent hill walking, bird watching and observing the beautiful unspoiled vegetation. The Old Man of Hoy of course must not be forgotten about, as a walk to see it is a must.
  • Sea trout fishing is also popular on Hoy.
