Borvemor Cottages on the West Coast of South Harris in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, occupy a superb location on croft land with direct access to one of the glorious shell sand Atlantic beaches which is enjoyable in all weather and seasons. There are five different types and styles of cottages.

Beach Studio Apartment shown above is designed to be fully accessible with one double room downstairs and two twin rooms upstairs. Sleeps 6. Additional 4th bedroom available, sleeps 8.

Two storey Vallay house (photo shown on the right) is a three bedroom house with double downstairs along with shower room and toilet and a double and twin room upstairs along with bath room (bath, shower and toilet) free wifi and freesat TV, sleeps 6. Downstairs has a Living room, Galley kitchen, Dining room, south facing patio with table and chairs. Enclosed garden to front and rear. Dog can be accommodated on application where restricted to downstairs, by use of stair gate.

The other cottages consist of single storey accommodation. An authentic thatched Blackhouse was constructed in 1993, which sleeps 2 and the Stable and Byre cottages, converted from former steading buildings, sleep 5/6 each.

Facilities include:

Access to a thirty acre working croft with Blackface sheep.
There is a small trout loch behind the croft, quarter of an hours hill walk, and an excellent 9 hole links golf course one mile away, accessible on a daily basis.

The tariff includes all bed linen and towels. Cots, high chairs and baby alarms are available.
Electricity is free.
There are washing machine/dryers, dishwashers, microwave and electric cookers, fridges and freezers, electric showers, as well as baths in Blackhouse and Beach Studio Apartment, and radio/tape recorders in all cottages. (No dishwasher in Byre Cottage).
Freesat TV is now provided in all cottages.
All cottages now have access to WIFI.
