Owners We have owned 224 since 2011, and have been renting since 2012 and now have several guests who re-book year on year. We use the chalet regularly ourselves so have kitted it out with all the little extras that make it a home from home.
Overview This chalet sleeps 5 people in two bedrooms plus sofa bed in lounge. It comprises an open plan lounge with dining area and kitchenette. Positioned on the cliff top close to the beach and Isle of Wight coastal path. We have one of the best views on the site, directly across Colwell Bay to the Needles, and are also on the edge of the site, so not overlooked by other chalets. The chalet is South facing so has the sun pretty much all day. Accommodation details
Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 with 4ft 6in double bed, wardrobe and drawers, electric wall panel heater. Bedroom 2 with 2 large Ikea single beds, wardrobe, drawers and bedside table, electric wall panel heater.
Bathroom: Fully tiled with bath, wall mounted powerful mixer shower, WC, hand basin, wall heater, light/shaver point and mirror.
Kitchen: Refitted in 2015 to include integrated dishwasher (who wants to wash up on holiday)! Electric oven, Gas hob, fridge freezer, microwave, washing machine, extractor, toaster, sandwich maker and full range of kitchen utensils and crockery.
Dining/Living area (photo on right): Sofa bed, 2 Poang chairs, sideboard, TV unit, TV with Freeview, DVD player, CD player/radio, cupboard for coats/shoes. There are games, walking guides, maps and DVDs (including children's titles) in the sideboard and TV unit. Oil filled radiator. The dining table has terrific views across Colwell bay to The Needles.
Outside
Private patio area with picnic table, parasol and communal lawn areas. Rotary washing line at rear of property. Bikes can be padlocked to the large metal ring in the wall on the patio area.
Golf clubs and balls, Fold up chairs for use outside and on the beach, beach toys, body board, and a portable kettle barbecue are to be found at the rear of the property in the outside storage container.
Facilities
Cleaning / Towels / Linen: The chalet is cleaned prior to each let. Duvets, pillows and blankets are provided. Bed linen can be made available at £6 per single bed and £12 for the double. Please bring your own towels. Tea towel and bath mat are provided.
Wi-Fi: There is free Wi-Fi.
Gas and Electricity: Included in rental price.
Parking: Guest/owners parking space at rear of bungalow.
Accessibility: The chalet is on a level site with no steps or steep slopes. The chalet is not modified in any way for disabled/wheelchair access.
Beach: 2 minute walk from chalet via Brambles Chine slipway and steps - Note the slipway is quite steep but does have a handrail.
Booking Notes
Deposit is 25% of tariff, remainder one month before arrival.
A £100 breakage/damage deposit is required, one month before arrival which is refunded after inspection of property after the end of the holiday let.
A key will be sent once letting agreements and full payment is received.
Payment via cheque, bank transfer or paypal.
Changeover Day
Saturday is changeover day, please leave by 10am, and arrive after 2pm. We are happy to be flexible about this and some shorter stays would be considered depending on availability.
