The Barn is a lovely beamed single-storey cottage. It is situated in Lower Wensleydale, gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, 4 miles west of Bedale, 8 miles south of Richmond, at the edge of a small village. Local attractions include Middleham Castle, Jervaulx Abbey, country markets and The Forbidden Corner.
The Barn is detached, standing on its own at the side of a 6 acre grass field, down a good track about 100 yards from the road, secluded but not isolated, and with lovely views. At the side is a small orchard and at the back is a pretty garden with patio. There is plenty of parking space. Easily accessible from the A1 (5 miles).
Accommodation: Sleeps 5: two double bedrooms and a single bedroom. There is a sitting room with TV, and a small TV in one bedroom. A large farmhouse kitchen / dining room (19ft long) with electric cooker, microwave and fridges. The rent includes free use of electricity (for cooking and 5 night storage heaters and hot water). Children welcome, cot and high chair available. Please bring: Your own bed linen and towels (duvets, pillows, blankets are provided). Bed linen can also be provided at £5 per person.
