 Recently refitted throughout with modern solid oak flooring, a new bathroom, kitchen and heating system, the cottage is located high on the west side of the Widecombe valley. It is just  over half a mile from the centre of the village and commands astounding views over the surrounding moorland and countryside. The cottage stands in a small secluded garden with direct access to the moor. It offers every opportunity to walkers, letter boxers and bird-watchers with plenty of attractions within easy reach. The south coast beaches are about half an hour away.

  • There is a range of activities in the area and there are two horse-riding stables within 2 miles of the cottage.
  • The River Dart Country Park for canoeing, rock-climbing and zip wires is 6 miles away.
  • There are 2 very popular pubs and in the village as well as several cafes and a shop where essential provisions are available.
  • There is a good range of shops in Ashburton (6 Miles), Newton Abbot (10 Miles) and Exeter and Plymouth are just 40 minutes away.
Accommodation  
  • The cottage sleeps 4 adults and 2 children and the accommodation consists of a sitting room with electric fire, TV with video and DVD player.
  • The kitchen incorporates an electric cooker and microwave. The new combination boiler provides hot water and central heating which is included in the price. There is an adjoining larder with a fridge freezer.
  • There is a downstairs lavatory.
  • There are 3 bedrooms one of which is a small bunk-room (2 foot 6 inch mattresses) and is located downstairs.
  • The recently modernised bedrooms are large with views over the surrounding countryside and beautiful cottage garden.
  • There is a washing machine as well as all the other essentials one would expect and the cottage provides a traditional yet comfortable break from the pressures of daily life.
