Recently refitted throughout with modern solid oak flooring, a new bathroom, kitchen and heating system, the cottage is located high on the west side of the Widecombe valley. It is just over half a mile from the centre of the village and commands astounding views over the surrounding moorland and countryside. The cottage stands in a small secluded garden with direct access to the moor. It offers every opportunity to walkers, letter boxers and bird-watchers with plenty of attractions within easy reach. The south coast beaches are about half an hour away.

There is a range of activities in the area and there are two horse-riding stables within 2 miles of the cottage.
The River Dart Country Park for canoeing, rock-climbing and zip wires is 6 miles away.
There are 2 very popular pubs and in the village as well as several cafes and a shop where essential provisions are available.
There is a good range of shops in Ashburton (6 Miles), Newton Abbot (10 Miles) and Exeter and Plymouth are just 40 minutes away.

Accommodation

The cottage sleeps 4 adults and 2 children and the accommodation consists of a sitting room with electric fire, TV with video and DVD player.
The kitchen incorporates an electric cooker and microwave. The new combination boiler provides hot water and central heating which is included in the price. There is an adjoining larder with a fridge freezer.
There is a downstairs lavatory.
There are 3 bedrooms one of which is a small bunk-room (2 foot 6 inch mattresses) and is located downstairs.
The recently modernised bedrooms are large with views over the surrounding countryside and beautiful cottage garden.
There is a washing machine as well as all the other essentials one would expect and the cottage provides a traditional yet comfortable break from the pressures of daily life.
