The Annexe is situated on the ground floor on the end of our house. Windrush House is set in two and a half acres of mature gardens on the edge of Priddy, a village high on the Mendip Hills in Somerset. From lots of vantage points in the garden there are beautiful views over rolling fields and even to the North Somerset coast on a clear day.

Accommodation
  • The Annexe is totally self contained and sleeps two people, offering a twin-bedded room with en-suite shower room.
  • Bed linen, heating and electricity included.
  • There is a separate kitchen/ living room with cooking facilities, dining table, chairs and and flat screen TV/ DVD.
  • You look out onto a pretty back garden through patio doors.
  • There is ample driveway parking, a car is useful as there is no public transport.
Location
  • Windrush House is a half mile from the village of Priddy, easily walked along public footpaths and through fields. Priddy lies in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
  • The village enjoys 3 pubs, a church and a garage, together with a camp site shop and farm shop supplying local meats, dairy produce and vegetables.
  • Priddy is a short distance from the cathedral city of Wells, Glastonbury with its Abbey and Tor, and Street with the Clarks Village shopping experience. Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole are 10 minutes drive away and the historic Georgian city of Bath and Bristol about 45 minutes away.
  • We are ideally situated for people who love the outdoors - there is lots of walking, cycling, horse-back riding and caving. For those who enjoy the game of golf, there are three 18 hole courses, all within about a 15 minute drive. The village hosts a renowned Folk Festival in early July each year and one of the oldest Sheep Fairs in the country in mid August.
  • The village is a lively one - organising various other events through the year - a wonderful Bonfire Night for instance.
Our annexe would suit anyone looking for some tranquillity and a break to enjoy a slower pace of life.
