Built in the early 1800's this sandstone cottage is tucked away down a cobbled lane in the conservation village of Wolsingham, in unspoilt Weardale, which is located in the North Pennines, a designated 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'. Within a leisurely stroll there are three welcoming pubs serving good food. There are also a good choice of cafes, and local shops selling a range of goods.
  • Wolsingham - known as the 'Gateway to the Dales' is well situated for exploring the attractions that the Northern Dales has to offer and is equally well placed for visiting the Historic City of Durham with its Castle and Cathedral, Beamish Open Air Museum and The Metro Shopping Centre - all of which can be reached within a short drive.
  • The area is a walker's paradise with many walks that can be started from the cottage itself. Leaflets of some of the way-marked walks are available for guests use.
