Whitkirk is a lovely traditional terraced cottage, which has been recently renovated.  It overlooks the harbour in the picturesque, historic fishing village of the Isle of Whithorn, at Scotland's most southerly point. The cottage sleeps five comfortably and is very well equipped, with a mature, enclosed private garden.

Ground Floor:  
  • Living room with views to the harbour, LCD TV and electric fire.
  • Well equipped kitchen / dining room overlooking the harbour.
  • Conservatory with views to lovely enclosed garden.
  • Utility room with washing machine and tumble drier.

First Floor:  

  • Double bedroom with dormer window overlooking the harbour.
  • Twin bedded room with dormer window overlooking the harbour.
  • Single bedroom.
  • Newly renovated bathroom, with walk-in electric shower, bath and heated towel rail.

Facilities:  

  • Flat screen LCD Colour TV with digital freeview.
  • Electric cooker, microwave, toaster, iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner, washing machine, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, tumble drier.
  • Lovely enclosed mature garden with garden furniture.
  • Oil-fired central heating throughout.
  • Electricity / heating costs included in the rental price and bed linen provided.
  • The cottage is a few minutes walk from two local pubs, which serve good food and real ales. There is also a local post office/small shop nearby.

Location  

  • This part of Galloway has a network of villages surrounded by rolling farmland and woodland. It is rich in wildlife and provides excellent coastal walking routes to enjoy.
  • There are several golf courses within easy reach, which welcome visitors.
  • The area has many archaeological and historic places of interest to visit including St Ninian's Cave and the Whithorn Dig.
  • Sea fishing, sailing and boat hire can be arranged in the village.
  • There is excellent salmon and trout fishing available in the area.
  • The region is excellent for cycling, with one of The Galloway Forest Parks? internationally acclaimed Seven Stanes mountain bike route within a half-hour drive.
