Whitfield House Cottage is an early 18th century cottage attached to Whitfield House, a most attractive Queen Anne house. Both properties are listed as 'buildings of special architectural and historic interest'.
The cottage is full of character, spacious, and is VisitBritain 3 Star rated.
Wolsingham is a small town situated in the lower part of Weardale, which is one of the North Pennine dales which have been designated as 'Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty'.
The cottage is situated in a designated 'Conservation Area' and is conveniently placed for the town's facilities (shops, pubs, garage, post office, bank etc) and also for walks in the surrounding countryside. There are a large range of tourist attractions within easy reach, including Durham Cathedral, Hadrian's Wall, Beamish Museum, etc.
