Whim Farm is situated just outside the village of Monyash. The cottage enjoys privacy and is accessible via a private hard surfaced lane running alongside wooded areas. It provides an excellent centre for walking, cycling and sight seeing. The Tissington and High Peak trail offer great traffic free cycling and the walking opportunities are endless. Close by are many places of interest including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Castleton caves and Alton Towers.  

• The market town of Bakewell is about 6 miles away, with its many tea rooms, restaurants, as well as the famous Bakewell tart.
• The Spa town of Buxton is a similar distance away and has the magnificent opera house, Roman baths, the Crescent and Pavillion Gardens.

Accommodation  

• The old farm buildings have been tastefully converted to a high standard, retaining many of the original features to provide an excellently equipped cottage.
• Outside there is a large gravelled area, extensive parking, lawn, patio with furniture, and dog excercise area.
• The footpath leading across the field from the cottages leads to a rare breeds farm at a local pub/restaurant with loads of character, where walking boots and dogs are welcome. There are two more pubs and a tea room in walking distance.
