We are a beef farm and have converted some redundant stone courtyard barns into three fantastic oak beamed cottages with modern facilities throughout, all finished to an exceptional standard. Nestled below Crooks Peak on the edge of the Somerset Mendips Hills the cottages form an 'L' shaped courtyard which is next to an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
  • As a family working farm there is opportunity to see the animals and experience at close hand 'life on the farm'.
  • Cottages located within easy travel of most of Somerset's attractions.
  • We are very keen on the environment and have planted 10,000 trees into a woodland, replanted an apple orchard and are involved in a number of schemes promoting good environmental practice, including a reed bed.
  • We also have our own river frontage on the River Axe for private fishing!
  • The cottages (which can be hired individually or together for larger groups up to 16 adults) are an ideal base for visits to many nearby Somerset attractions.
  • Outdoor pursuits such as fishing, walking, horse riding and golf can all be catered for and cottage guests have use of the nearby Webbington Hotel & Spa facilities which include swimming pool, gym, spa, tennis courts, bars and restaurant.
  • Crooks Peak is owned by the National Trust and after a scenic walk to its summit you can survey the Somerset Levels as far as Glastonbury Tor!
  • To make your vacation unique a professional chef can be arranged to prepare you a feast in your cottage or provide you with hot or cold meals. Or a beautician can provide you with treatments according to your needs.

Accommodation
Currently there are 3 self catering cottages which can be booked individually or for group bookings (can accommodate up to 17 guests) furnished and fitted to a very high, contemporary standard:

GOLIGHTLY
(named after a famous racehorse who used to live in this stable) accommodates 6 adults & 1 baby.

KITTY
(named after a farm work horse) accommodates 4 adults & 1 baby.

TIARKS
(named after the family that used to reside at the Webbington Hotel) accommodates 7 adults & 1 baby - and has the benefit of being on one level and is therefore suitable for the elderly and less mobile.

  • Each cottage has full central heating throughout.
  • The kitchens are fully equipped with a dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, electric oven/hob and microwave.
  • The lounges/dining areas have leather suites, 32" wide screen TV with FreeSat, Midi HiFi, DVD, a sound system and Wifi.
  • The bedrooms for GOLIGHTY consist of 1 double bed, 1 twin and 2 bunk beds, KITTY has 1 double and 1 twin, and TIARKS has 1 double bed, 1 twin or 1 triple, and 1 double sofa bed in the lounge.
  • The bathrooms have a "P" bath/shower, shaver point, toilet, hand basin and heated towel rail.
  • Directly outside the properties is a large patio area equipped with individual outdoor furniture. Tiarks Cottage also has its own private patio to the rear of the cottage.

  • Guests have complimentary use leisure facilities within walking distance - indoor pool, sauna, steam room, tennis courts and gym.
