Warkworth has an impressive Medieval Castle rising above the pretty hamlet and almost completely surrounded by the River Coquet. Boat hire during summer provides a wonderful opportunity to study the magnificent flora and fauna, seals and otters. Amble has fishing and a marina with launch facilities. Alnwick hosts the Alnwick Fair and International Music Festival. Alnwick Gardens and Alnwick Castle, setting for many films including Elizabeth and Harry Potter are open daily.
