Our quiet, secluded valley offers a unique rural retreat full of peace and tranquillity. Five individual, dog friendly, self-catering cottages part of an eighteenth century watermill, lie in thirteen magical acres in their own secluded valley just one mile inland from Slapton Sands on the South Devon coast. Virtually untouched by the modern world in an idyllic riverside setting that is almost traffic-free. There's excellent walking in the valley, easy access to the Coastal Path and Dartmoor. Fifteen beaches within 30 minutes' drive. Dartmouth, Salcombe and Totnes are nearby.

Each cottage is well furnished with good heating, wood burning stoves, own washing machine, and an enclosed garden with furniture, except Mill Cottage with a patio. Winter breaks are available. We welcome well-behaved pets and are flexible on number - just call us for availability.

Quack Cottage

(sleeps 2-4) is a three-bedroom chocolate-box cottage in its own large sunny garden bordering the shallow river. One double, two singles - one downstairs.

Rose Cottage
(sleeps 2-4) offers one double and one twin bedroom, both en-suite. A very sunny cottage with a large wooden deck, views and fully-fenced garden.

Barleycorn Cottage

(sleeps 2-4) is oak-beamed, spacious and airy, with a large kitchen and fenced garden set in the old mill pond. One double and one twin. Lovely river and valley views.

Mill Cottage
(sleeps 2-6) is next to the river with a sunny flowery patio. Its three downstairs bedrooms offer one double (by the river), a twin and bunk beds. Long river and valley views from upstairs sitting room.

Crownwheel Cottage
(sleeps 2-6) is great for extended families; downstairs there's a double bedroom (the river flows under the window), a bathroom, bunk room, large sitting room, dining area and modern kitchen. Upstairs a bright, large ensuite twin room. Secluded riverside terrace.
