 Walnut Cottage is part of Broadway farm, which has been farmed by the Knowles family for the last four generations. Set in an attractive Chiltern valley on the edge of Berkhamsted, it offers guests the chance to have the relaxation of staying in a rural setting yet easy access to London (half an hour by train) and many major transport links, Heathrow, Stansted and Luton airports.
Guests often use us as a base to visit London, local stately homes - Waddesdon, Hatfield House, Woburn. The National Trust parkland of Ashridge. Or to enjoy the Grand Union Canal which runs through the valley and can be seen from the cottage. For those with children Legoland and Whipsnade zoo are very popular.
Accommodation
Walnut cottage has been completely refurbished and offers attractive and practical accommodation which becomes your home from home. There are three bedrooms(1 double and 2 twin) a bathroom with bath and shower. Downstairs a large lounge with french doors onto attractive south facing patio. Attractive well equipped, quarry tiled kitchen, with dining table. On a practical note is a large utility room and all heating, bed linen and towels are included in the price. Equipment includes Washing machine, Tumble dryer, Microwave, Dishwasher. Cot available. We offer a warm welcome and will do our best to make your stay, whether short or long, comfortable and enjoyable.
