 This charmingly renovated stone cottage built in 1820 with an open working fireplace and views over fields is situated in the village of Butterknowle. This quiet village has two pubs a village hall and shop, plus a small post office and doctors surgery all reached with a short walk. The cottage and village is ideally situated for trips to Raby Castle, Hamsterly Forest, Bowes museum and High Force the highest waterfall in England. - Only 12 miles away is the bustling market town of Barnard Castle or Bishop Auckland both with excellent golf courses and local restaurants and pubs.
