A very rare idyllic retreat aimed specifically at couples. Set beside our private lake, the cottage is totally secluded and surrounded by hills, moors and woodland to be explored from the door.

When refurbishing Tyn Llyn we decided to keep the accommodation very simple. The electrics are 12 volt not Mains. Lights are run off a solar panel and battery and it works pretty well although a lot of people like to use candles anyway! The water supply is from the lake and we provide drinking water seperately, there is hot water and a proper bath and flushing loo. It is to be a real escape and although it is located within easy reach of all that Snowdonia has to offer, we expect the immediate surroundings to be a particular attraction.

The cottage:  

• Downstairs; Kitchen with gas cooker, lovely mountain view.
• Cosy sitting room with woodburner. There are lights but most people prefer candles.
• Upstairs; Bathroom with bath and WC. Gorgeous view of the mountains.
• Large bedroom with a wonderfully comfortable kingsize bed.

The lake is a good size, about 18 acres and we can supply boats, windsurfers or fishing equipment on a casual basis. Swimming of course, when warm enough, which is more often than you might imagine.

Toby and Stephanie are the closest neighbours, about 1/2 mile away and will look after your stay.
