SHORT BREAKS
These are welcomed outside school holidays from October to April so long as they fall within a Saturday to Saturday period. Short breaks during May and September can only be booked within 4 weeks prior to the arrival date. We charge 75% of the weekly fee for 3 nights, 85% for 4 nights, 90% for 5 nights, 95% for 6 nights.

Borth Beach found to be one of the cleanest in UK. Worth a 40 minute drive for a swim on a sunny day!

Over half our bookings are return visits! Book in good time to be sure of your chosen dates.
Ty Mari was fully refurbished in 2008. It has a washer/dryer in case of need. There is a BT landline as well as internet. A large detached Garden Room has been added which allows quiet cosy space and offers a stunning view, away from the world! In fact it looks onto a field that is designated the centre of Wales!
History:
Ty Mari was built at least 170 years ago and has been in the family since 1969. We have loved it as if it was our only home and steadily improved it over the years. We are still discovering new walks and places to explore that have remained unspoilt by the changes of our times.
Ty Mari in Winter and Spring:
The cottage can be kept cosy even on the coldest nights. There can be 'unexpected' snow during the winter/spring months but the mountain road is kept reasonably clear. If there are significant snow falls approach the cottage from A44/Devils Bridge. The narrow gauge railway from Devils Bridge opens around Easter (see website). There are usually lambs around from February.

Needing more bedrooms?
There is a soundproofed door through to the neighbouring cottage Penroc; if you book this as well you will have two double, three twin bedrooms and two bathrooms...as well as two large living rooms.
Are the dates you want already booked?
Do look at the availability of cottageguide/penroc if there are only four of you.
Do note there is no mobile reception unless you climb a local hill or drive a mile and a half to 'The Arch' but you do have a landline, free at evenings and weekends to UK landlines.
Free Internet connection is there but we hope you may want to be well away from such things!
Cleaning on departure
Please leave the cottage reasonably clean and Alan and Tara will come in soon after 10 a.m. on Saturday to thoroughly clean through. A laundry service is provided for sheets, towels and dish towels at no extra charge
