 The Follies self-catering cottage, in an area of outstanding natural beauty, has recently been placed on the holiday market commencing Spring 2008. The cottage has been tastefully restored and furnished and is a superb rural holiday location. Access is by a track bordered by RSPB land and the Thorpeness Golf course, which brings you out to a few picturesque cottages called the Follies. - There are several excellent walks directly from the cottage over Aldringham Common. These include the beach, mere and pub at Thorpeness or in the other direction the pub/restaurant at Aldringham.
- Although it has a quiet position it is only a short drive away from Aldeburgh with all its facilities including shops, cafes, famous fish and chip shop, award winning restaurants, and the beach with its locally caught fish shacks.
 - The cottage is also central for trips to Southwold, Minsmere RSPB nature reserve, Dunwich Heath, Snape Maltings and Orford where river trips can be organised.
Accommodation: The cottage has been extended to include a very well equipped kitchen, with ceramic hob, fan oven, table grill, steamer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge and freezer. The dining room is a cosy snug, and includes the original decorative stove. This leads to a comfortable lounge with TV and DVD. Downstairs there is a superb large conservatory. A steep original staircase leads upstairs. Upstairs there are 2 character bedrooms, one with a 6' bed and other with twin beds. Upstairs there is also a cloakroom, with the main bathroom downstairs. The pretty garden includes large patio and furniture, gas BBQ, patio heater, summerhouse, and small herb area. Parking for 2 cars. Services include a welcome pack, bed linen for duvets, towels, electricity and central heating. With the local heath land, wildlife, and fauna changing with the seasons, this is a super cottage to visit any time of the year for a true break.
