Tuath Cala (gaelic for North Haven) is a joyous retreat for all seasons. The cottage is an old byre converted in 1998. Sitting at just over 1000ft above sea level and looking west across miles of open Croftland to the mountains of Strathfarrer.
By popular request there is no TV, only solitude, music, games, books, maps and the company you chose to share this unique remote hideaway. The 140-acre Croft which is the former home of author Katherine Stewart has changed little in the past 40 years.
Walk out from the cottage in all directions, The Great Glen Way is on the doorstep, fly fish on Lochlait. Within easy reach of ski resorts, golf courses, pony trekking, Munros and lesser hills, popular tourist attractions, wonderful beaches and waterfalls, Castles, dolphins.
Facilities: Sitting room with enormous panoramic view. Dining Room. Study with woodburning stove. Bedroom with king size bed, linen provided. (Single folding bed and linen for +1 person on request). Bathroom with 4 piece suite, electric shower and shaver point. Kitchen, well equipped, with conventional cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and washing machine, drying and ironing facilities, kitchen towels provided. Patio furniture and BBQ. Heated by storage heaters and multifuel stove. Electricity, coal, linen included, bring your own towels or hire when booking. The cottage is situated away from the Crofthouse and Steading.
