Our cottage has been lovingly refurbished to provide comfortable self catering holiday accommodation for up to three people. Troutbeck Cottage is ideal for couples and small families looking for a relaxing break and offers an excellent base from which to explore this beautiful area of England.  

• The comfortable lounge has a traditional Lakeland slate fire surround with inset solid fuel stove, a lovely leather suite and modern quality oak furniture. It is equipped with a widescreen TV, DVD/CD player and Sky Freesat. There are also plenty of books, maps and information about the Lake District, plus a selection of films on DVD.
• Also on the ground floor there is a new fitted kitchen-cum-dining room which is well equipped with an electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge and dining table and chairs.
• Upstairs, the main double bedroom is at the front of the house and has lovely views towards Claife Heights. The bedroom (photo below) is fitted with quality pine bedroom furniture and has a new en-suite shower room. This room has a bright and airy feel to it which is complemented by the exposed beam and furnishings.
• The small second bedroom also has an exposed beam and is equipped with a single  bed. This bedroom also has a new en-suite shower room.

Outside  

• There is a small seating area to the front of the house - a real suntrap.
• At the back there is a shared open courtyard, which gives access to open fields and the Troutbeck fells, offering walking direct from the cottage door.
• Parking is available for one car.
