Traintrack Cottage is a secluded three bedroom stone cottage set in the Lake District National Park, just outside Grange-over-Sands. It can sleep up to six plus a cot. The cottage benefits from a full modern refurbishment, and a new porch constructed 2009.

Accommodation comprises:

Large entrance porch.
Lounge with mixed fuel stove.
Kitchen diner with woodburning stove.
Bathroom.
Ensuite double bedroom.
Twin room.
Garden view room with 2 adult size
bunk beds.
There is a large garden and the cottage is set amidst the stunning scenery of Cumbria.
The cottage is fully equipped with eveything you need.
Families are particularly welcome, and the garden provides a safe area for outdoor play and barbecues.

Meathop is in the Southern Lakes, 20 minutes drive from Lake Windermere or Kendal town. It is well situated for many tourist attractions such as The Aquarium, Wildlife Park, Levens Hall, Holker Hall, Cartmel, Sizergh Castle, and is ideally located for touring, walking and cycling holidays. In addition, the cottage is within 5 minutes walk of the local ice-cream farm which has its own coffee-shop and play area, and the golf course is 10 minutes walk down the lane.

The old railway cottage is located close to the local train line and provides an ideal location for waving to the passing trains without disturbing the tranquillity of the setting.
