 Number 11 is a single storey garden cottage. The village shop (newspapers, groceries, bakery) and post office is next
door. There is a café gallery nearby. To the east the village of Lauder offers good pubs, hotels and shops. - Stow is situated 7 miles north of Galashiels on the A7. The city of Edinburgh is 25 miles further north. It is a perfect location for those wishing to explore the Scottish Borders or visit Edinburgh. The bus stop for X95 bus (Carlisle - Edinburgh route) is just two minutes from the cottage.
- The Southern Upland Way and St Cuthberts Way, 7stanes mountain biking at Innerleithen and Glentress and golf courses are just many of the activities the area has to offer. The Edinburgh Festival and Military Tattoo complement the many attractions the city of Edinburgh has to offer.
 - There is a multi-court in Stow which can be hired to play tennis, football or basketball. (Bookable at village shop). A playpark for smaller children is situated beside the main village park.
