With superb views over the pretty, ancient royal town of Jedburgh, Larkhall Burn is extremely comfortable and the perfect base to explore the many hidden secrets of the Scottish Borders.
The famous Jedburgh Abbey founded in 1147, the Castle Jail and Mary Queen of Scots House are all within a short walk. Bonnie Prince Charlie, Robert Burns and William Wordsworth all visited the town, which was granted the status of a Royal Burgh by King David I in circa 1150.
The Waterside Fitness Centre with a 25 metre pool and Jedburgh Golf Club are further attractions of the town.
With its beautiful scenery and fabulous history, the Borders offers so much, with the advantage of being able to get away from it all with its quiet roads and friendly people.
Walking, cycling, horse-riding, golfing and fishing are outstanding and available nearby.
Jedburgh offers a fine selection of restaurants and pubs, individual shops and supermarkets. Indian, Chinese, Turkish/Italian or traditional takeaways allow you the freedom from cooking if the mood takes you.
