On the Banks of Loch Awe and on the outskirts of the village of Ford, Torran Mhor is set in a beautiful and unspoilt area of Argyll. The whole building was once owned by the Forestry Commission but was sold and converted into 8 homes within a courtyard setting around 30 years ago. No 3 is the only one of these homes that is let for holidays so please keep this in mind during your stay! No 3 is a comfortable family home with 4 bedrooms (1 x double, 1 x family room with double bed & bed settee, 1 x twin, 1 x hi-sleeper), Sky TV, radio and a small selection of video tapes, CDs and books that you are welcome to use. The side garden is fully fenced and well behaved pets are welcome. However our neighbour is a working sheep farm so please ensure that your pet stays within the bounds of the garden and is walked on a lead. Lets are from Saturday to Saturday and short breaks are also possible. The nearest pub/hotel is 5 miles away at Kilartin, which also boast a Museum which has loads of information on the history and archeology of this historic area of Argyll - it also has a lovely coffee shop! There is horse riding at Inverary and Ardfern, which also has a yacht marina. Fishing and Boat Hire is also available on Loch Awe.
Have a quiet refreshing or activity holiday here - the choice is yours!
