Tigh nan Shian - translated from Gaelic to "House of the Fairies" is named after the small hill behind it, which was locally believed to be where fairies lived. The house was built around the ruins of an old crofter's cottage and has recently been extensively renovated to provide well equipped and comfortable self catering accommodation for up to five people in one double, one twin and one single room.

Around two hours drive from the Highland Capital of Inverness in the North West corner of the Scottish Highlands, our holiday cottage offers complete peace and tranquillity. It is around 500m from a sandy beach and enjoys panoramic sea and mountain views.
Surrounded by the spectacular coastal and mountain scenery of the Assynt, Tigh nan Shian is the ideal location for relaxing, walking, sailing, beach-combing, climbing, bird-watching, fishing (both sea and loch) and geology (lying at the heart of the North-West Highlands Geopark).
