As you look out of the window of the cottage you will notice the stunning sea views over the Ascrib Islands and beyond to the Isle of Harris. The location of the cottage makes it an ideal position to observe the local wildlife. You may be fortunate enough to see the otters at play, the seals sunning themselves or the playful porpoises in the bay.

While you enjoy the peace and tranquility of the setting, it is good to know that the island's capital Portree is a 15 minute drive away, as are the areas of Dunvegan and Waternish. Portree is awash with interesting shops and eating places catering for all preferences. Visit Dunvegan and see the Castle - a must for those with an interest in history.

Edinbane is the closest village some two miles away, where there is a local shop post office, filling station and two hotels. You can also watch potters at work in Edinbane Pottery. Alternatively you can enjoy the live music at the Edinbane Hotel most weekend evenings.

For those of you who enjoy horse riding, Skye Riding Centre is 5 minutes away and you can view the pleasures of the Island from horseback.
