Finegand is a working hill farm owned by the family since 1712. It lies on the main Perth - Braemar road (A93) in beautiful Glenshee and has heather moorland and a winding salmon river between grassy banks; there are also wonderful views. The farm has sheep and cattle and there is a huge variety of wildlife. Salmon fishing, if unbooked, is free to residents until early July.
This charming split-level cottage is situated in its own grassy garden looking over the Shee Water to Dalnaglar Castle on one side and to the heather moorland on the other.
Accommodation  On the entry level are kitchen, dining room, sitting room (TV), bathroom (shower over the bath), and a double bedroom. A few steps down are another double bedroom (plus single bed); a twin room and a small single. A solid fuel stove heats dining room and kitchen and boosts the water. All other services are electric with off-peak heaters and meters are read on arrival and departure. There is a garage which can be used for storage. Facilities We supply bed linen, towels and duvets plus extra blankets and electric blankets on all beds. There is an automatic washing machine, TV, DVD, barbecue. Glenshee is a perfect holiday base and the area is full of historic castles and other sites of interest. There are plenty of golf courses, swimming pools, theatres, chances to birdwatch, hillwalk etc, but perhaps the major charm of the glen is its peace and beauty.
