 Approximately 100 yards from the shore of Lake Windermere, Three Gables nestles in the peaceful hamlet of Lakeside, close to the Windermere steamship pier, the Aquarium of the Lakes and the Haverthwaite steam railway. - A short drive from Lakeside, are the picturesque villages of Hawkshead and Cartmel a delight for shoppers and antique lovers. Both villages are well provided for with good restaurants, traditional tea rooms and local pubs.
- For the more energetic, a walk to High Dam from Three Gables is not to be missed. "Go Ape" and Grizedale Forest are easily accessible, as is Esthwaite Water, which offers fishing, tackle and boat hire. Boating for fun? Go to Fell Foot Country Park, near Newby Bridge roundabout.
Three Gables blends both traditional and contemporary styling. A spacious, modern kitchen/dining room, each of the three lounges has an open fire or wood burning stove, satellite TV / DVD and / or music centre. The property boasts a fully tiled 'wet room' in addition to the family bathroom with over bath shower. The enclosed cottage style garden is well tended and has ample seating.
