A stunning, 5-Star, luxury barn conversion with serious green credentials, stands at the heart of 130 acres of nature reserve, within its own private, enclosed garden, courtyard and patio. Walks and wildlife activities from the garden gate and only a short drive to the North Cornwall coast, Dartmoor and Roadford lake.

Accommodation

The Stone Barn provides accommodation for up to 10 (+2) in five bedrooms: 3 kingsize rooms (two with ensuite shower rooms and one with sofabed for +2), plus 2 twin rooms - all beds have pocket sprung quality mattresses and soft organic cotton bedlinen provided.
Luxury bathroom and further shower room.
Utility/boot room.
Open plan living/dining/kitchen area arranged around a huge stone fireplace with double sided log burner.
Beautifully finished throughout with natural materials (slate and wooden floors, original beams and stonework), locally made furniture including a spacious 8ft dining table from reclaimed oak and beech wood chairs, squishy leather and fabric sofas with Fair Trade cushions, rugs and accessories, and a full range of A or A+ appliances plus everything you will need to prepare a snack for two or a celebratory feast for 12.
The Stone Barn has underfloor heating provided by ground source heat pump which together with the triple thermal insulation provides a cosy ambient temperature throughout the property (heating is not switched on from June to Sept).
Piping hot water is supplied by discreet solar panels (with back up system if needed).
Rainwater harvesting limits the demands on the mains supply and the owners have been presented with a Gold Award from the Devon Wildlife Trust for several years running for their environmentally friendly business.
Pets are welcome at the Stone Barn and a purpose built kennel and run, dog bowls, bed and dog towels are provided. Due to the open plan nature of the accommodation owners are requested to restrict pets to kennel or boot room at night.
Internet access from August 2010.

The owners live only a few fields away and are on hand to help with local advice and information and even provide guided wildlife walks by arrangement.
