Out of what was originally a blacksmith's workshop we have created an extremely comfortable and contemporary home with state state of the art heating technology providing under floor heating throughout.

is a lovely and beautifully decorated cottage fit for up to 2 people. Set on the working farm of Turvelaws, on the edge of the National Park of Northumberland - it is the perfect location from which to explore the surrounding area of The Cheviots, The Scottish Borders, Northumberland's stunning coast, the historic towns of both Berwick Upon Tweed and Alnwick, Lindisfarne/Holy Island and the Farne Islands. Northumberland is unspoilt and very beautiful - it certainly lives up to the fact that it is known as England's hidden County.  

• There is a kitchen/dining/living area with log burner, a double bedroom and just next door is the bathroom with an excellent shower over bath.
• A good sized utility is perfect for storing and drying all your outdoor gear.
• Experience the warmth of under floor heating taken from a natural source - the cottage is fitted with an eco friendly air source heating system and insulated with thermafleece. In additon all rain water is collected, filtered and pumped back into the washing machines, toilets and garden taps.

Facilities  

• Guests at Turvelaws have use of the private tennis court (and ball machine) and Fishing on the River Till which runs through the farm. Lessons for both can also be arranged subject to availability.
• A 9 hole /18tee golf course is only two miles away with several 18 hole courses within a 17 mile radius, cycle hire and a sustrans cycle route isnearby.
• Riding is available at riding centres at Belford, Kimmerston and Shipley.
• Cot available.
