 The Slap is an 1800 Orkney croft house with flagstone floors and beams open to the roof. It's built on one level so suitable for disabled. The Slap is set in 6 acres of working croft land overlooking Scapa Flow, Churchill Barriers and the island of Copinsay. Depending on what time of year you come there will be new born lambs, ducklings and ducks, and baby chicks, and plenty of free range eggs.
Burray village is a five minute walk away. Facilities include post office/shop, children's play park, motel with restaurant-pub, and petrol station. There are also several long sandy beaches where you can enjoy a quiet walk and admire the wrecks in the sand. The main town of Kirkwall lies 11 miles away and has shops, supermarkets, public houses and recreation facilities. Pick-ups from airports, ferries can be arranged. On the bus route.
Accommodation
The Slap sleeps 2 people in the Bedroom and has 1 double sofa bed in the lounge. - Kitchen: Cooker, microwave, fridge, sink, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, working fire. Underfloor heating.
- Lounge: Freeview Colour TV, DVD player, video, CD Stereo player, 1 double sofa bed, working fire, toys, books, CDs, DVDs, videos. Underfloor heating.
- Bathroom: Sink, power shower and WC.
 - Bedroom: Double bed, wardrobe etc...(cot, highchair, baby bath, changing mat, if required). TV, video recorder, hairdryer.
- No smoking inside the cottage.
- Pets are most welcome but are not allowed on the furniture; owners must bring their own drinking bowls, food bowls, and pet beds. All dog messes must be picked up (bags are provided) and placed in the appropriate bin. A charge of £1.00 per night per per pet will be made to cover the extra cleaning time needed after pets have been to stay.
Prices include: Crockery Cutlery Pans Towels (but not beach towels) Bed linen Central heating Outdoor barbecue Outdoor washing line, parking area, table and chairs. Electricity is extra by use of a £1 coin meter.
Baby sitting and daily maid service £5 per hour.

The Caravan is set in 6 acres of working croft land, overlooking Scapa Flow, the Churchill barriers and the uninhabited island of Copinsay. Depending on what time of year you come there will be newborn lambs, baby chicks and ducks. The Caravan sleeps 4 - 6 people in one double bedroom, one twin bedroom with an extra pull down small bunk. The living room can sleep 2 people.

Lounge with colour TV, Freeview box, video & DVD, Stereo/CD, pull down double bed, electric fire. Books, games, CDs, videos. Seated dining area. Bathroom with sink, shower over a small bath, WC. Bedroom 1 has double bed, wardrobe, electric radiator, hairdryer etc. Cot if required. Bedroom 2 - Twin room with small pull down extra bunk, wardrobe and electric radiator. The Caravan also has an outdoor barbecue, outdoor washing line and parking area. Prices include towels (not beach towels), linen for kitchen, and bed linen. Electricity is extra by use of a £1 coin meter. Gas is paid for by a gas meter which takes tickets available from the main house. Large decking area with table and chairs. On the bus route.
