The Setts is a stone built cottage located in the Yorkshire Dales village of Preston under Scar, and has spectacular views over Wensleydale from the house and garden. It has recently been decorated and equipped to a very high standard, with thought given to making it an enjoyable experience for all ages.
The Cottage: Large living area with open fire (full coal scuttle and firelighting supplies provided.) Wide screen TV, Freeview and DVD player. DVDs, books and games provided. Dining area leads out on to the patio area where the stunning views can be appreciated. Kitchen has been recently refitted to the highest standard including dishwasher, microwave, cooker, and washing machine. Three bedrooms, the master bedroom which can provide twin single bed or superkingsize bed accomodation (please specify in advance), a double bedroom and a single. Downstairs loo, and new luxury bathroom upstairs, with power shower over the bath. Central heating is included in the price. Towels and bed linen are provided and included in the price. Enclosed cottage garden. Travel cot and highchair can be provided on request. In addition to the many walks that can be taken in the area there are interesting places to visit within half an hours drive. These include the fantastic Forbidden Corner garden and Jervaux Abbey at Middleham, Hawes and its cheese factory, Bolton Castle, and Aysgarth Falls. The market town of Leyburn is only ten minutes drive and as well as being a pleasant place to visit it has a chocolate factory and good take aways!
