The Rookery is a detached town house situated in the heart of the small market town of Hay-on-Wye.

The accommodation sleeps four, plus cot:
  • There are two upstairs bedrooms, one double and one twin.
  • A family bathroom with shower and wc.
  • Downstairs, there is a kitchen with fridge, electric cooker and microwave,
  • A spacious comfortable lounge with TV, and DVD.
  • A dining room capable of seating six people.
  • Full gas fired central heating and hot water as well as electricity is included in the tariff.
  • Bed linen can be provided at an additional charge.
  • Customers are kindly asked to arrive after 3.00pm and depart by 10.00am.

The Rookery dates back to 1900 and is situated in the Bull Ring, near the castle and shops. With easy access to all parts of the town, this is a convenient location from which to enjoy the sights and pleasures of Hay and the surrounding area.

Hay, famous for being the world's largest second hand book centre and its own annual literary festival, lies at the foot of the Black Mountains and is only 15 miles from the Brecon Beacons. This makes it an ideal centre for walking, fishing, canoeing, biking and pony trekking plus other holiday activities.
