 Recently converted stables in secluded, riverside farmyard just 5 kilometres from the centre of Westport in the hills on the eastern slopes of Croagh Patrick, Ireland's famous pilgrimage mountain - on the Western Way walking route. - It's a thirty minute drive south to the village of Leenane, northern gateway to Connemara or travel north and in ten minutes you are approaching the beautiful beaches along the shores of Clew Bay - Bertra, Old Head, Carrowniskey, Silver Strand... the list is long!
- This detached cottage-style building is on fourteen acres (5.5 hectares) of land and is just across the farmyard from the owners' own house. The land includes approximately two acres of natural deciduous woodland and four acres of moorland (bog). The Owenwee River passes through the property and the combination of river, woodland and bog provides some really beautiful and relaxed walking opportunities.
 - For those interested in wildlife this is an ideal destination. Birdwatchers may see dippers and kingfishers on the river or merlin, jays and treecreepers in the woods and fields. Six of Ireland's nine species of bat live here. If you're lucky (and very quiet!) animal watchers may see pine marten, otters or badgers.
- We are just one hundred metres (across the fields) from Brackloon Wood, a one hundred acre remnant of native deciduous woodland.

- Terrific base for touring the West of Ireland.
- 50 minutes to Knock Airport.
- Trek to the summit of Croagh Patrick and back from your door in just six hours (its a tough one though!).
- Do a circuit of the Brackloon Wood walking trail - it takes just an hour from your front door.
