Our holiday home for two (couple with young children also accommodated, by arrangement) is located in a very quiet and secluded spot at the end of a country lane, yet just 3.5 miles (5 kms) from the centre of Westport Town. Your friendly hosts live here on this 14 acre farm with their three dogs, hens (eggs available!) and ponies. The river flows through the property and there is a beautifully secluded riverside walk to a private island woodland which is accessed by a timber bridge.

Locally there are some lovely circular walks ranging from one to four hours' duration through quiet leafy lanes, woodland and moors. Please note that we have only one rental property so, apart from your hosts, you will have the place to yourselves.
It makes an ideal base for anyone interested in cycling, walking, fishing, bird watching, or indeed any outdoor activity. We are situated just off the Killary Harbour to Achill cycle route and the Western Way walking trail.
There are numerous beaches just a few minutes' drive away - Bertra, Old Head, Carrowniskey, Bunowen to name just a few - and the offshore islands of Inishbofin, Inishturk and Clare Island make superb daytrip destinations. A thirty minute drive to the south will take you to the village of Leenane in Connemara.
Other nearby attractions include historic Westport House, Connemara National Park and Ballycroy National Park.

The accommodation consists of a cosy open plan kitchen/living area, bedroom with king size bed and bathroom with instant electric shower. Heating is by means of a wood burning stove - fuel included.
